Delivery with Econt, Speedy, BOX NOW and Pigeon Express

Every CG Shops shop has a built-in link to Econt, Speedy, BOX NOW and Pigeon Express. You pay for no extra module or plugin.

Why does it matter? Copying addresses into the courier's system takes time. And every wrong address is a parcel that may come back. The shop sends the addresses for you.

How it works

  1. You enter your courier account. In the admin, open Setting, "Shipping Providers". After you save, the shop reloads for about a minute. Then the courier is ready to use.
  2. You offer the courier in a shipping zone. You choose office, locker or address delivery. You set your own price, or leave the price the courier calculates.
  3. The shopper chooses. They see the delivery price before ordering. They find the office or locker in a list, by city, street or name.
  4. You send the parcel. On the order you press "Create shipment". The courier makes the waybill. No copying of addresses.
  5. The shop follows the parcel. It checks with the courier every 30 minutes. The shopper gets an email when the parcel leaves and when it arrives. So they know when to expect it.

  • Econt: to an address, an office or an Econtomat locker.
  • Speedy: to an address, an office or a locker.
  • BOX NOW: to a locker.
  • Pigeon Express: to an address, an office or a locker.

Example: a knitwear shop

An invented example: "Valna i Bod", a small shop for knitted hats and jumpers in Plovdiv. On Monday morning there are 12 orders from the weekend. Most go to an Econt or Speedy office, two to a BOX NOW locker.

The owner selects the orders in the list and presses "Courier labels". The shop makes the waybills and gives all the labels in one file. She prints them on the label printer, sticks them on and hands the parcels over. The shoppers get an email with the tracking number.

What you get

  • Labels to print, 100 by 150 mm. Labels for up to 50 orders come out as one file.
  • The delivery price: your own price, or the courier's price (Econt, Speedy and Pigeon Express). Free delivery above an amount is possible too.
  • Cash on delivery. The waybill tells the courier to collect the order's total.

What you need

Your login to the courier's system. You enter it in the shop only once.

  • Econt: your e-Econt user name and password.
  • Speedy: a separate user for connecting other systems (API). Ask your Speedy account manager for it. It is not your MySpeedy login.
  • BOX NOW: the connection details that BOX NOW gives you.
  • Pigeon Express: a connection code (API key) that Pigeon Express gives you.

Good to know

  • Delivery is within Bulgaria.
  • The contract with the courier is yours. You pay its fees under it. So prices and money stay between you and the courier.
  • The shop does not test your account when you save it. So check it with your first parcel.
  • BOX NOW publishes no prices. So you set your own locker price. Without it, BOX NOW is not offered.
  • For Speedy delivery to an address, the shopper must give a postcode.
  • Every courier needs the shopper's phone. Econt and BOX NOW also need the shop's phone. So the courier can call if something is wrong.
  • Some couriers give only an A4 waybill. Then it comes as a separate file for an A4 printer.

For the technical person

  • The Speedy, BOX NOW and Pigeon Express details are API access details. They are not the login to the courier's website.
  • After you save in "Shipping Providers", the shop restarts to load the courier. This takes about a minute.
  • Econt, BOX NOW and Pigeon Express have a test service (demo or sandbox). You choose it in the courier's settings.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a contract with Econt or Speedy?

Yes. The shop works with your own account at the courier. The prices and the payouts follow your contract with it.

How much does the Econt and Speedy integration cost?

It is included in €12 a month excluding VAT. There is no separate module. The courier's fees are not ours and depend on your contract.

How does the shopper choose an office or a locker?

At checkout they choose the courier and the kind of delivery. Then they search for the office or locker by city, street or name. The order cannot be placed without a point. So no parcel goes out without an address.

Can I offer free delivery above an amount?

Yes. You set an amount in the shipping zone. It is compared with the value of the goods, before VAT and discounts.

Can I try it before sending real parcels?

Yes, with Econt, BOX NOW and Pigeon Express. They have a practice mode where the parcels are not real. You choose it in the courier's settings.
